about me…  hmmm…  i owe my tendency toward questioning all that is held to be unquestionable to my mother.  before i hit second grade i already understood her two favorite sayings:  “why be normal” and “question authority”.  my teachers did not appreciate it.  at all.  they were only further frustrated by my mother's indifference (and most times amusement) to their “plight” of being my teacher.  i wouldn't change a thing.

i grew up surrounded by music (mom was a singer/songwriter/musician) and used to sing in a band out in L.A. - best gig ever was when we did the Roxy!  stage-divers are insane people.  music infuses every aspect of my life.  i remember events and different times in my life by what music i was listening to.  still love to sing and go out dancing whenever i get the chance.  salsa dancing is next…

i'm a vegetarian but don't try to convert any of my friends.  i've noticed some of them are slowly changing their eating habits on their own…  which is cool.  if someone asks why i don't eat meat, i'll tell them. 

i love to travel and one of my goals is to fill up my passport.  not with vacation spots, but REAL travel where you get to know the culture and people of the place you're visiting.

one of my other passions is sustainability…  BUILD GREEN!  i used to manage (not-quite green) construction projects for a real estate developer and will eventually work only with green projects/developers/designers.

i'm looking forward to learning and sharing with the fascinating group here at gaia…  finally a group of people that i have so much in common with…  no longer the black sheep in the crowd.  i love it.
